Released toward the end of 2003, Project Gotham Racing 2 was the sequel to Xbox launch game PGR, and probably the largest game Bizarre Creations had attempted so far. There were many new challenges to overcome, and new features to implement. Some of these include a new graphics engine, 10 original cities, the Nurburgring, over 100 included cars, new game modes, Xbox Live play, etc.

PGR2 saw two DLC packages during it's lifespan. These were the Paris Booster Pack, and the Long Beach Booster Pack. Both of these could be downloaded via Xbox Live, and both added a new city and several new cars to the mix.

After the success of the original Project Gotham Racing, PGR2 needed to be something special and we were determined to follow through on that promise. Thank you to everybody who bought a copy; we hope you enjoyed playing PGR2 as much as we enjoyed making it!
